Studio Module receives six Horizon Interactive Awards

MIAMI, MAY 2008 – Studio Module, an interactive design firm with offices in Miami and Boston, has been named winner of six awards in the 2008 Horizon Interactive Awards competition.

“We truly appreciate the opportunity our clients have given us and the level of trust they have placed in us,” says Claudio Luis Vera, one of the studio’s principal creative directors.

Studio Module was awarded for its pioneering work in the following projects:

  • HarvardScience, a news site published by the Harvard received a Gold Award in the Magazine / News category.
  • The studio’s work for an engineering firm, GEI Consultants, received a Gold Award in the Business to Business category.
  • V to the Tenth, a site built to promote V-Day’s tenth anniversary, won a Silver Award in the Video Documentary - Short Film category and a Bronze Award in the Public Service / Non-Profit category
  • Other sites for PhlatLight and Ecoalign received bronze awards in their categories.

A majority of the studio’s winning sites were powered by Drupal, an open source framework for content management and site building. Aside from Studio Module’s winning sites, five other Drupal sites were recognized with Horizon Interactive Awards.

Over 1,000 sites were reviewed in this competition for creativity and originality, overall design, technical merit, effectiveness and user experience. In past years, Studio Module has received Horizon Awards, including various Best of Category and Gold Awards.
